The ‘Electrical Industry Awards 2017’ have recently announced the finalists of this year’s competition, and there is a surprising contender which has appeared on the list – a book. “Electrical Contracting Tendering & Estimating: An Introductory Short Guide” is a new publication which was launched earlier this year and joins a selection of industry leading manufacturers and products who are finalists in the ‘Commercial Product of the Year’ category.
Author Jonathan Willson was clearly delighted with the news and said “It is fantastic that the book has made it in to the finals of the Electrical Industry Awards 2017 alongside some really great products from well-known and established manufacturers. Upon publishing the book,we had no idea if it would take off or not, as it is covering a subject in an area which has previously received very little attention. However, it is great to see that the industry has shown a keen interest in the book and being shortlisted for an award is real recognition of this.”
The guide provides electrical contractors with a short and concise introduction to compiling professional tender offers to clients, as well helping them to correctly estimate the costs of works for projects in the region of £10k to £1m.
The winners of this year’s awards will be announced at a special ceremony on 26th October 2017 in London.
