City Electrical Factors Limited (CEF) in Wigan hosted an event last week and traders flocked to check out the latest products from suppliers.

Andrew Wills, the stores manager, said, “We had over 15 suppliers at the event including Aurora, Bahco, C.K Tools, Fluke, Megger, Makita and Schneider. We also invited all of our customers and potential new customers to come and visit the store and see how CEF Wigan has changed since getting new management. 

“Also, we wanted to show people our stock holding and really push the fact that CEF as a business is changing to become your go-to electrical experts.”

Andrew said CEF Wigan enticed guests by printing off over 200 flyers. He added, “The van driver and branch manager distributed the leaflets around the borough, and also the internal team at CEF called a lot of customers to let them know about the day. We also advertised the day via social media.” CEF Wigan

Andrew was pleased with the attendance at the event, which also saw food and drink being served. He added, “The event was a success as we had a lot of customers come and see our new products from the array of suppliers here.

“We also had some new accounts open, and one or two old unused accounts got reopened and traded with us on the day. The overall feedback from customers was about how much the store had changed and how good our trade counter looked.”

CEF Wigan are finding the best-selling products at the moment are bulbs, adding, “At the moment we are selling a lot of our special promotion on 5W LED GU10 lamps 10pk. We are also doing a lot of power and hand tool promotions that seem to be moving quite quickly.”

CEF as a firm are gearing up their promotion at the moment, including appearing on TV. Andrew said, “CEF advertised on the Ladbrokes Rugby League Challenge Cup Quarter Final between Leeds Rhinos and Leigh Centurions, which took place on June 1 on Sky Sports. Also we have the CEF catalogue coming out in September that everyone company-wide seems to be really excited about.”
