CEF leading electrical wholesaler, announces sponsorship of the ‘Dodd1e’5 Gr4and S7am’ team for their upcoming ‘All Roads Lead to Rome’ challenge, to support the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. The team will cycle from Edinburgh to Rome during the event, to raise funds for the charity along with its contributions to MND research.
With a start in Murrayfield, Edinburgh on 28th February, the riders are set to visit the 6 nations stadium along their route, which includes Dublin, Cardiff, Twickenham, and Paris, finishing at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico on 9th March.
CEF will be providing essential sponsorship money to the ‘Didd1e’5 Gr4nd S7am’ team and the CEF logo will be featured on the team’s kit as they cycle the 3,000km raising money for vital motor neurone disease research.
The team will be meeting several notable people along the way, whilst reaching their milestones, which include current and past sporting professionals as well as Prince Albert of Monaco.
The challenge, being led by respected rugby player Rob Wainwright OBE (formerly of Scotland and the British Lions), has gained widespread interest because of its commitment and effect in the battle against MND.
The charity challenge has experienced incredible support with a 31-strong team, being directly involved in the ride itself, with over 200 participants in the challenge overall, which includes the support teams, highlighting the widespread support and engagement generated by the cause.
Marking this sponsorship as one of a number for CEF with the Foundation and other organisations. Forming part of their commitment as a business to support meaningful issues and contribute to community initiatives.
Steve Pope, Director of Power Tools at CEF, said – “We are proud to be sponsoring such a worthy cause and to be contributing vital funds toward MND research. Alongside my own personal experience with MND through a good friend’s diagnosis, participation in this event also helps to uphold our company values of giving back and contributing meaningfully to our community. Here at CEF, we truly believe that collective efforts can create real change and we’re wishing ‘Dodd1e’5 Gr4nd S7am’ team all the best in their monumental endeavour for a brilliant cause.”
